Help!! I need a list of Sys Admin books that I can use to teach myself as much about HP-UX as possible. I am formally trained as a SUN Sys Admin, but have fallen into an HP-UX job. I was supposed to go to HP-UX school, but you know how budgets go, no school in sight for me.....

Thanks-
Jen

Re: books

Plenty of good ones....and there is also the hp.docs online.

My new personal favorite is HP Certified by Rafeeq Rahmen. Very good !!

Jennifer:

UNIX ain't UNIX ain't UNIX is it? I second Rita's suggestion.

Barnes & Noble is a good place to get this book. You can order it online from www.bn.com -- the price is about $60.

Re: books

Jennifer,

Yeah, << HP Certified HP-UX System Administration >> by Raffeeq Ur Rehman is a very good one. I am reading it now. ISBN number is 0-L3-0L8374-L. Also,docs.hp.com is a good website. There is a "i-know" in it which is very helpful, sometimes. Also, this forum is excellent! Good luck!

Re: books

Apart from all the suggestions given by folks, this forum is also a good place to learn HP-UX.
