Boot failed

Hello

I installed a new system with HP-UX 11.00. I installed also the mirroring (2 Disks Boot and Appl).
To make a reboot (shutdown -ry now) works fine. But after a halt (shutdown -hy now) and change the disk (for a other test with HP-UX 10.20) and rechange the HP-UX disks, the system crashed by booting with an I/O Error message. He wrote also: 'panic: LVM configuration failure'. And this was not on one system, this was with two systems (K380 and K370).

Any ideas?

Regards Konrad

Re: Boot failed

Konrad,

You say you installed 11.00 with mirrorux on K-class server's, and you stated that you changed the disks, by which I think you mean you directed the boot to use an alternate disk, with 10.20 on it, correct?

Is it possible that when you mirrored your disks (which I'm assuming you did) you clobbered the disks with 10.20 on them??

If you are saying that you mirrored your root disks, and possibly your application disks, and you attempted to boot from the alternate disks then make sure you followed these instructions to mirror your disks:
