Thats the error I got when i tried it through the 100 Base T add in.
You can watch the boot as follows:
tail -f /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
Make sure your DCHP server has a valid unused ip address and ps -ef | grep boot on the server and try and watch for connectivity issues.
Make sure NFS and other networking is solid.
instl_adm -d
The transfer itself can be through any LAN, the boot must be built in.
