Boot! HP9000 HP-UX11.00

Someone has locked out the root account so I need to boot in run-level 0. What command do I need to type to get the box to boot in run level 0 using the HP boot menu when you turn the machine on?

It's the menu when you press any key to interrupt boot.

Thanks.

Simon

Hi,

Type 'bo' to initiate the boot process,
reply y to the question 'Interact with ISL?'
then at the ISL> prompt, type 'hpux -is'

If you root account is locked out, you can't boot to run level 0 unless you crash the system and on rebooting, follow John's instructions. I belive this lock is on a CDE, your can telnet or do rlogin into the server and continue your work or shut it down to runlevel 1 or S
