But if you have a mirrored boot/root disk set & one is bad you'd need
hpux -lq
If you want single user mode
hpux -is
If you want LVM maint mode
hpux -lm

ISL > hpux
If you want to boot in single user mode, give 'hpux -is'. Also type "help" for available commands and it's usage.
