Hi
I need help about lan boot problem
I try to boot a Superdome NPAR from BCH
At BCH prompt I want to boot the command "boot lan.10.200.72.40 install" (where 10.200.72.40 is the ignite server adress)
I've git the message
"IODC ENTRY_INIT failed. Error Status: -7
The IODC for this boot device was unable to provide text describing the failure.
IODC ENTRY_INIT[Return Messages] failed. Error Status: -2 "
I suppose a network problem. Anyone has an idea about this case ?
Thanks for your help

Solution
Hi,
a PA-RISC system is usually using the core I/O card for a network boot.
Make sure this card is connected to the right network.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: BOOT LAN ERROR
Hi,
Did the client and the ignite server on the same subnet? If not you will need to configure a boot helper with the same segment of the client.
Did you configure the ignite server correctly for the client to boot? /etc/bootptab is configured properly as your dhcp alternative.
Regards,
Sandy

Re: BOOT LAN ERROR
Thank you Torsten and Sandy
With the good card (io Card) and good IP address, it's better.
So thank you for your help
