Re: boot through CD
Hi,
It your this CD in good shape physically. (scratchless). A few more information in required to have a better idea of the problem. Through which CD you are booting ? At what stage this error is coming ? Attach complete error log. What is happening if you boot with Hard Disk(Suppose OS is allready there in it)?
If booting from Hard Disk and not from CD. Possibally your drive may be faulty. Try by swapping with another SCSI DVD if you have.

Re: boot through CD
Is this a SUPPORTED CD?
I have seen several systems working well with unsupported drives when it comes to mounting a CD and read it. But when booting they have failed (sorry I don't remember any error messages).
Regards,
Trond

Re: boot through CD
This error cabe caused because of:
* the disk is experiencing hardware faults, maybe it's scratched and non readable
* the path to the disk is experiencing problems. e.g.. Termination, cabling, SCSI adapter, SCSI adapter seating, check the cables etc.
Can you read disks from this drive?
