Re: BOOT VOLUME - /dev/vg00/lvol1 - CORRUPT
If your boot volume is corrupted, you cant bring the system to ISL.
Boot the system from Recovery disk and rebuild the bootlif.
Physical Volumes belonging in Root Volume Group:
/dev/dsk/c2t0d0 (0/1/1/0.0.0) -- Boot Disk
/dev/dsk/c3t2d0 (0/1/1/1.2.0)
/dev/dsk/c2t1d0 (0/1/1/0.1.0) -- Boot Disk
Boot: lvol1 on: /dev/dsk/c2t0d0
/dev/dsk/c2t1d0

Re: BOOT VOLUME - /dev/vg00/lvol1 - CORRUPT
If you cannot boot to repair, your option is to restore from ignite.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: BOOT VOLUME - /dev/vg00/lvol1 - CORRUPT
I am sorry to ask such stupid question in my last post. I made a mistake.
If it is not booting , try to do the following
1. single user mod
2. lvmmaintenance mod
3. boot from recovery disk and try to do maitenance
4. ignite restore

Re: BOOT VOLUME - /dev/vg00/lvol1 - CORRUPT
Ignite is a package with several programs designed to save and then restore the root volume. Before you can restore anything, you have to backup the data. With a single HP-UX system, you have no choice but to backup the data onto tape using make_tape_recovery. But this also assumes that you have the Ignite package installed:
swlist -l product Ignite-UX
If Ignite is not installed, download a copy immediately from: http://www.hp.com/go/ignite-ux. Also get the Ignite Admin Manual too. If you have several HP-UX servers, you can setup an Ignite network server and backup the root volume to this server (and restore the volume if needed).
