If I interupt the boot sequence and then BO PRI in the BCH and interact with IPL the console reports HARD BOOTED and stays there... If I then reboot the machine it boots normally until the NFS issue.
Does anyone have any ideas how either get into single user mode or fix this NFS config problem.??
Thanks in advance.

you can press Control-Break (on console) during booting system this will stop executing startup scripts and you will have normal login prompt.

SolutionYOu could try breaking the 'NFS' by pressing ctrl-\. You may see 'command respawning' messages but it should allow you to login in between.
I am not sure why it would hang before going to ISL. If it doesn't have ISL then it cannot boot to mult-user mode either. Did you wait long enough before giving up?. If you could break the boot sequence and if you are able to access root, then post your 'lifls /dev/rdsk/cxtydz' output.
If this has mirror, try booting from the 'alternate' path.

I didn't realise you could ctrl-\ out of the boot sequence.... Still not sure why I can't get into Single user mode, but at least I've fixed the immediate problem...
Cheers

Re: Booting a RP3410 into single user mode.
shutdown -y 0
This will bring the server to single without going through a reboot.
