Booting from CD but it keeps going to recovery mode
I am trying to install HP-UX 11i from CD,and I am using windows hytper terminal with standard settings.when I boot from the external scsi CD Drive, it keeps going into the recovery menu without giving me the choice of going into the installation menu. I stuck an HP-UX 11.0 CD in there and the same thing happened. Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks

Re: Booting from CD but it keeps going to recovery mode
Obviously the emulation is the problem, is there any way that you can connect a proper system console to the system or use a different terminal emulator?

Re: Booting from CD but it keeps going to recovery mode
Hi all,
Perhaps a bit late, but at least people who search for it will find it.
We had exactly the same issue. We were able to fix it by setting the Hyperterminal type to "VT100J", instead of "VT100".
Then, the installation will STILL choose the recovery shell automatically. If you press at the selection screen though, it will not do this. You have to be really fast though.
With terminal type "VT100" this will not work.
Hope this helps.
