Booting from EVA5000

One of my customer want to set up new systems using HP rp7410 servers and eva 5000 SAN (No service guard).
My question is ,does this setup works without internal disks in the servers? if i configure os bootable from EVA 5000.
(Just for saving the cost of mirror/ux and four internal disks)

Comments please

As of June/July 2003 I didn't see that its supported. If I find any updates will post.

Re: Booting from EVA5000

There is currently no support for HP-UX boot on this type of disk.

Given that EVA 5000 is prominent in some of the web "success stories" and that HP-UX is still a "go forward" Operating System, I would expect that HP would make this combination work as a boot disk in the future.

That said, there are no hard and firm dates set to implement this yet.
