Hi All,
The attachment is syslog file of a rp8400 server running hp-ux 11i. There are some entries regarding bootp/bootptab and dhcpdeny.
Why those error messege showed?

Hi Richard,
Take a look at next quote from Mr. Chan.

It's harmless. If you're not servicing any bootstrap protocol you can turn it off.
# vi /etc/inetd.conf
===> Comment the line ..
#bootps dgram udp wait root /usr/lbin/bootpd bootpd
# inetd -c
===> Re-read inetd.conf
