broken CDE after hostname change
CDE is complaining that the desktop messaging system could not be started after I've changed the hostname and configured my ethernet device (lan0).
I manually changed the hostname, after seeing this error.. I ran /sbin/set_parms
Any ideas?

Re: broken CDE after hostname change
if there is a moderator, they can delete this post (or the other one..) as I accidently submitted two after my connection timed-out.

Re: broken CDE after hostname change
Now I just look like an idiot :) It was my nsswitch.conf file, oddly it didn't exist.. there was an nsswitch.compat that did exist. I put 'files' before 'nis' and everything works now.
