Buffer Cache always use 50% of physical memory

Dear Experts,
Is there anyway to reduce the buffer cache on the HPUX server ? If the buffer cache reduce,Is there have any performance issue on the server ?
Currently using 6Gb memory and buffer cache already allocated 3Gb.

You can enable dynamic buffer cache on the system.

Make sure that the buffer cache is around 300-400MB

If it is 6Gb then you can bring down the dbc_pct_max from 50 to 7
Also bring down dbc_min_pct to 2.

Also make sure that bufpages and nbuf are 0 which should enable the dynamic buffer cache on the server
