The ANSIC/C++ compilers are on the 11i applications CD's. You must use these versions not the 11.0 CD's. They are licensed apps so you will need codewords to install them.

Re: C++ / ANSIC

It's on the application CD set (I *think* on the first disk - the part number depends on the release of 11i).

This is a licensed product (you need to pay for a license), so you won't be able to install it unless you have the correct keyword.

If you can't do that (ie management won't pay), then try using GCC (it's available for HP systems). Most stuff will compile with this without any problems.

Re: C++ / ANSIC

no. dont use the 11.00 ones. use the ones on 11icd's. and u need code word from them as well.

Re: C++ / ANSIC

C++ & ANSI C compilres software are part of the application software CDs ,the part number of the CD is 5012-0081.HP provides you with 4 number of CD's with the above part number. You need to purchase the same & genarate codeword from the site "webware.hp.com".If you have purchase the software then from CD 1 of 4 , you will able to install, using swinstall. when you invoke swinstall , from action tab u need add the codeword which you will get from webware.hp.com

Re: C++ / ANSIC

Thanks,

And We were using 11.00 with 8 user license. How to find the user license information in 11i. I have just installed 11i OE. Around 30 users will be accessing this machine. Whether i need to purchase user license also or i can use it as it is?

Re: C++ / ANSIC

Hi,

Use "uname -l"
to find out the current user license.

Nowadays the default is unlimited user license.
Means no limit.
