hi all,
i have the following problem:
last week i assembled a c3600 workstation ,installed HP-UX 10.20 on it and shipped it to a customer.
today i received a complaint from that customer that the disk ( an A4998A 18Gb disk) is partitioned at 1.2 gb and the customer asks now how and if he can correct this without erasing the operating system?
are there any commands to solve this, and if so how?
my knowledge of HP-UX reach no further than installing it.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Marco

Solution
I can't imagine that you are able to partition a disk in 10.20, especially without deleting data. There are no tools for any partitioning in 10.20.
Just leave it as it is. An ioscan -fn would be interesting anyway.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: c3600 disk partitioned
Disk partioning is ambiguous -- it could refer to a completely deprecated technique used by obsolete HP-UX versions (9.0 and earlier) where the partitions were defined inside the driver. Or the concern may due to a specific LVM configuration. In either case, there is not enough information to offer any advice. I woukd suggest that your customer contact HP for some consulting.

Re: c3600 disk partitioned
Hi ,
Thanks for your replys.
it is indeed possible that a previous installed version of hp-ux did this.
i will search some more and let you know if i found the solution.
