Re: calculate physical disk
Try using the command ioscan -funCdisk in order to list the disks and their hardware paths on the system.

Re: calculate physical disk
one option is using ioscan -fnCdisk
another one i think is
print_manifest (disk layout)
The usage can be specified only if you provide the server details

Re: calculate physical disk
"ioscan -fnC disk" is the command but if you want to see the disk details then the command is "diskinfo /dev/rdsk/cxtxdx"

Re: calculate physical disk
>How to check the details if there is more hard disk or resided in the machine?
First you check the server physically whether the 4 hard disks are connected or not.
if it is connected then it will shown in the commmand "#ioscan -funC disk"
# print_manifest = this also shows your disk layout and other h/w devices.
hope this help for you.

Re: calculate physical disk
#sam ---> disks and filesystems
#print_manifest ---> If you have ignite
#xstm
#cstm
#ioscan -fnC disk (identify physical devices)
#diskinfo /dev/rdsk/cXtYdZ (return physical size)
#pvdisplay /dev/dsk/cXtYdZ (show used, free amount of disk associated with LVM)
Try using cstm / xstm

Re: calculate physical disk
Check with
(1)ioscan -fnC disk
(2)strings /etc/lvmtab
(To check no of disk or pv in each volume group)
(3)lvlnboot -v vg00
(TO check primary bootable root disk in root vg)

Re: calculate physical disk
I guess your server has a hardware RAID configured - so you can only see logical (not physical) drives.
Please post first
# model
# ioscan -fn
to check.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

You have 2 times "HP IR Volume" - these are hardware RAIDS (mirrored pairs)!
Check with
# sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd0 -q raid
and you will see all your 4 disks!
No Problem at all.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: calculate physical disk
That means each 2 disk in vg00 and vg01 are mirror? Or only the primary disk mirror?
I check space of each vg00 and vg01 is 72GB

Re: calculate physical disk
Exactly.
What you see are 2 mirrored disk pairs forming 2 logical drives (IR Volumes = integrated RAID).
Run the command above and you will see.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
