gracias.
Saludos
Benjamín

The third line should almost accomplish what you need. It says that in the year 2008, on the 29th, 30th, or 31st day (29-31), if it is Saturday (6) of the March (3), the time will be adjusted. I would think you would want to change that line to read like this:
0 23 25-31 3 2008-2008 6 PST4

Re: Cambio de hora en Chile
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1209662
Using your initial values gives:
$ TZ=PST4SST dst.pl
Sun Apr 06 01:59:59 PST 2008 --> Sun Apr 06 03:00:00 SST 2008
Sun Oct 26 01:59:59 SST 2008 --> Sun Oct 26 01:00:00 PST 2008
And on Pete's correction:
$ TZ=PST4SST dst.pl
Sat Mar 29 23:59:59 SST 2008 --> Sat Mar 29 23:00:00 PST 2008
Sat Oct 11 23:59:59 PST 2008 --> Sun Oct 12 01:00:00 SST 2008
If you would like an official HP-UX entry for your timezone you first must:
1) Meet the minimum population and sales numbers
2) Contact your local HP sales office
3) Provide an official government paper or web site that explains your timezone rules in a manner that is unambiguous. I.e. at this date AND time it is X, a minute later it switches to Y. And it a minute before it switches, it is X and a minute later it is Y.
# South America Chile Continental
PST4SST
0 23 8-14 3 1983-2007 6 PST4
0 23 29-31 3 2008-2008 6 PST4
0 23 8-14 3 2009-2038 6 PST4
0 1 9-15 10 1983-2038 0 SST3
Typically the entries in tztab(4) for southern hemisphere zones have the DST start months first then the DST end. So your last entry should be first, to be consistent.
