Hi,

If you can use ftp from your system then,

ftp software.hp.com
username : anonymous
password : your_email_address
bin
cd dist/swdepot
get ignite11_11.00.tar

This will download the file

Re: Can I download Ignite Unix? Where?

An excellent method to create an ignite tape is as follows: This will create a tape in interactive mode. Make sure that you use the 'no-rewind' tape device.

# /opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -I -v -a /dev/rmt/0mn

You can also get it from your HP-UX application CD.

Re: Can I download Ignite Unix? Where?

Just a word of caution about using Ignite/UX from the CDs. The CDs get old very, very fast and most systems get new hardware (tape drives, disks, etc) quite often. Ignite/UX ir critically dependent on supporting disks, tapes and computer models. If you use a CD from a couple years ago, don't expect it to work well with a new box or a new tape/disk.

I always donwload the latest version whenever new equipment comes in.
