Can I send 100Mbit card (J3515A) on a Kserver?

Hi all,

The question is simple. I have a spare 100Mbit Card (J3515A).

Can I install it on a K server?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kind Regards,

Rui.

Hi Rui,

You need to install the HP-PB 100BT LAN/9000 software which is located on the set of Applications CD's that you get from HP.

The software bundle you will install in J3623BA, located on the first application CD Rom, NOT codeword protected.

Re: Can I send 100Mbit card (J3515A) on a Kserver?

Um, from what I can tell, while the J3515A _is_ an _HSC_ card (and thus the btlan4 driver prior to 11i, not the HP_PB driver), it is in an _EISA_ form factor.

There are no EISA form factor HSC slots in a K Series.

Also, one should avoid the HP-PB 100BT card unless HP-PB is th e_only_ slot type you have open. That card is slow and its driver takes too much CPU.
