can I use an external USB DAT tape drive with HPUX

We are planning to install HPUX onto a BL860C blade using an external DVD drive on a USB connection.

My question is: can i also use an external USB DAT tape drive to provide IGNITE UX recovery?

I'm not sure about the blades, but HPUX has typically not recognized any USB devices but the keyboard/mouse.

USB tape drives are not supported with hp-ux.

Consider to use an ignite server for backup and restore.
