I have an Ignite-Server than has multiple clients. I understand an Ignite-Server can't be a client of itself so you can take make_net_recovery's of itself.
But can I have one ignite-server be a client of another ignite-server (and vice-versa) so I can do a make_net_recovery of each ignite-server on the other ignite-server ?
Due to constraints here, I don't have dedicated ignite-servers, they also server other purposes so I would like to Ignite2Disk them also.

Re: Can Ignite Server-A be a client of Ignite-Server-B
If tape ignite is a solution then use make_tape_recovery for Ignite Server.
You can use this as DR option for Ignite Server itself.
All imported files are backedup on a tape drive.

Re: Can Ignite Server-A be a client of Ignite-Server-B
Hi,
Nothing prevent you from using more then one Ignite server in your enviroment and it is also possible to back up one Ignite server to another. In your case I vould use a volumegroup, different from vg00 for the Ignite archives as they will be very large and use a different backup tool for those archives.
When booting from the LAN, you can select which Ignite server to boot from in the boot command.
