can not install a new printer on the hpux 11.00

Recently we experience a problem with installing the design jet 1050C+ on the hp C3750(HPUX 11.00).
The latest JetDirect Printer Installer (E.10.34) and new script have been installed.
But when I select "add a new printer",It always shows "can not find /etc/lp/interface/printer_name".
I can not print the test file thru the diagnostic function provided by the Installer though the system can detect the DJ1050C+ and get the related information about the interface of the printer.
Finally I issued the comman "swverify printerMgmt".The output of this command indicated 2 errors:
ERROR: File "/usr/sbin/ptydaemon" should have mode "544" but the
actual mode is "555".
ERROR: Fileset "OS-Core.CMDS-AUX,l=/,r=B.11.00" had file errors.
Any info or a thought about is very welcome.

Hi Vofsky,

Could you check the permissions of

# ls -lad /etc 555 bin:bin

# ls -lad /etc/lp 755 lp:bin

# ls -lad /etc/lp/interface 755 lp:bin

# ll /dev/null 666 bin:bin

According to what you said,I modified the permission of those files and directorys,and than everything is OK!
