Can't Access the SAM for Users.
Hi,
I issued the pwconv command. I log-out and log-in again but it ask for my
passwd to be changed. I want to change it thru SAM but the SAM Accounts Users
and Groups under Users has an error that says :
Unexpected exit : process Lang -C -p /usr/sam/lbin/samx 5707 -s users
/usr/sam/lib//ug.ui exited with a non-zero exit status.
sh : 5824 Bus error(coredump)
Please help ASAP.
Thanks

Re: Can't Access the SAM for Users.
Unfortunately you do not specify the Operating System version, but I will
assume 10.20.
If this is correct, do you have the latest SAM Patch PHCO_19046?
If not I would suggest you load this as it has a fix for the symptom you have
described at 10.20 of HP-UX

Besides Melvin Burnard'response, Do you have a Trusted System?
If not, try to change passwords with "passwd" command
Good Lock!

Re: Can't Access the SAM for Users.
Hi,
Thanks to both of you who responded to my query. It was an initial relief. I
will try to apply this patch but I'm still coping with the commands because I'm
just starting my Unix sys roles skills.
