Can't find library or mismatched ABI for -lgcc

All,

I am using gcc (gccipf) 3.0 and compiled with Ansi/C on HP-UX 11.23 (pre-release ICO 70).

when I try to compile openssh I get the following error.



ld: Can't find library or mismatched ABI for -lgcc
Fatal error.
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
gmake: *** [ssh] Error 1

any ideas - most welcome.

no links to pre-compiled binaries/depots, please!
