Can't get Netscape to work.

I have recently installed HP-UX 11.0, loaded the HP-UX Support Plus software, loaded the patches in QPK1100_11.00.depot, Netscape would not work. I installed navigator_v478 and still get the same error, "no recognized font charsets". ANY SUGGESTIONS???

Somethig quick and silly that you can try. If you have an existing .netscape dir which store the preference setting, then rename it. After that start netscape again. See if the error comes out. If it works then your preference files in .netscape are corupted (the old ones).

Hi Edward,

Try this link,

Here is the basic content,

There are most likely some older preferences stored in your ~/.netscape directory that are corrupt.

1.Close Netscape and go into your home directory.
2.Rename the .netscape folder to netscape.old (type: mv .netscape netscape.old).
3.Start Netscape again and a new .netscape folder should be automatically be created for you.

Hope this helps.
