Can't remove old swap lvol

I'd like to remove an old volume group from one of my systems. I've removed all but one logical volume (now shows as unused) and when I try to remove that lvol I see the following error:

"couldn't remove Logical Volume "/dev/vg02/lvol3"
You must lvrmboot -r before removing a boot device.

When I run the command "lvrmboot -r /dev/vg02/lvol3", it errors because that lvol is not found in the lvmtab. Did I forget a step in here somewhere?

Thanks bunches!

lvrmboot -vr /dev/vg02

What error message it gives??

Joe,

It's probably too late now, but, in the future, I would try vgexporting the VG. That should get rid of everything!
