Can't search forums

Is anyone else having a problem searching on the forums ? When I try a search I get sent to the US site and a message stating that I could'nt be logged in is appearing. I have re-entered login and password and I am getting the "Welcome,Nick Wickens!" message to the left even as I type.

I would'nt be surprised if I can't even log this entry though.

this problem is there for some time.

Try logging out and logging in.

Any problems,try renaming your profile on the Windows and logging in.

Problem seems to be that the ITRC europe Home page at http://www5.itrc.hp.com/service/home/home.do links to the American forum site at http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/home.do rather than the Europe one.

Am I alone in thinking that things have got a bit messy on the ITRC since HP and Compaq forums were merged ?

"You are not alone" - I heard that one someplace before!

There were a few issues early on in the post merger period, most of which have been ironed out by now. Just last weekend, the entire ITRC Forums were moved to HP-UX hosts, along with other enhancements. This may have affected the search function as well, though I believe Dan has always said that the search function is outside of Forums control. I think the more likely issue is with links getting confused. Many of the URLs have changed to a different format (see "treadid=" in the URL of this message - that's new) and I have to wonder if you aren't getting lost in some old links.

All I can say is patience, they do seem to be working on it. If you'd like, just ask and dozens of us will search for points, I'm sure!

Your not the only one Nick. The ITRC has been pretty unstable this week since the weekend upgrade. Just have to bear and grin it. I remember after the last upgrade it took quite a few weeks to settle down and get all the bugs ironed out.
