Can't start cluster.
When I run /sbin/init.d/cmcluster start here's what I get:
cmrunnode : Unable to determine the nodes on the current cluster
cmrunnode : Either no cluster configuration file exists, or the file is corrupted, or /usr/lbin/cmclconfd is unable to run
Unable to connect to the configuration daemon (cmclconfd) on node xxxxx: Connection timed out
Local node is not currently configured in a cluster
ERROR: Unable to join cluster
I can't even do a cmdeleteconf.
/etc/cmcluster/cmclconfig is in place an of a non-zero size. It hasn't been modified for over a year.
Hp-UX 11.00, Service Guard 11.12
Any ideas?

Re: Can't start cluster.
Hi,
Since cmclconfig is "0" size, you can do one thing. Copy cmclconfig from the other box into the same location and then try.
What are the errors you get with cmdeleteconf?.

You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try

Re: Can't start cluster.
is your .rhosts file for root, or the file /etc/cmcluster/cmclnodelist all correct?
is the cluster daemon running on any ohter node in hte cluster?
can you go on another node and do:
cmruncl -v -n
What happens?
is SG patched? do:
what /usr/lbin/cmcld
and look if there is any patch listed in hte output.

Re: Can't start cluster.
I found it. The entry for the server was incorrect in /etc/hosts.
