Can we install MC serviceguard (Version: A.11.16.00 ) in our VM guest machine(OS: HP-UX V3 [B.11.31]

Dear All,

At present, MC serviceguard (Version: A.11.16.00 ) cluster is running in our billing(rp7420) server which OS version is HP-UX V1 (B.11.11). Recently, we have created new VM guest (OS: HP-UX V3 [B.11.31]) in our VM host machine (rx6600). My query is can we install MC serviceguard (Version: A.11.16.00 ) in our VM guest machine(OS: HP-UX V3 [B.11.31]) for testing purpose???

For HP-UX 11i v3, ServiceGuard 11.18 is the minimum version. Maybe there is a 11.17.1 for HP-UX 11i v3, but I wouldn't recommend that.

Right now, I would recommend you use 11.19, because if you ever choose to upgrade your SG software, you will allways have to first install 11.19 before you can upgrade to a post 11.19 release.
