Re: Cancel kernel modify

Try to change to old values. This will set same setting for next reboot.

Re: Cancel kernel modify

Hi,

If you are running 11.23, then the change back to the old value will work. There is a warning displayed on the screen telling you that the previous modification has been effectively cleared:

* The automatic 'backup' configuration has been updated.
WARNING: The previous change of 'maxfiles' to '2048', which was being held until next boot, has been iscarded.
* The requested changes have been saved, and will take effect at the next boot.

Mike.

Re: Cancel kernel modify

It's the same for 11.11 but without a warning.

Check the current and pending settings with

# kmtune

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
