Cannot access CDE in 11iv3

Dear all

I have installed hp-ux 11iv3(PA-RISC). But cannot access CDE via reflection.
BTW i've isntalled FOE OS.

But i cannot find dtconfig files anywhere

Can anyone give me the solution.

Shalom,

/sbin/init.d/xfs start
# starts the font serer
edit /etc/rc.config.d/xfs
# change the first variable to 1 to make the font server start automatically.

BTW i didn't find any software of CDE in 11iv3 installer DVD

How can i find this?

CDE is NOT installed by default with HP-UX 11iv3.
You must select it from the Optional Products list when installing, or use the install media to now add it in.

I guess the problem lying on there is no CDE package in installation media.

The software IS on the installation media, you need to look at the OPTIONAL PRODUCTS list to find it, it is not in the REQUIRED or RECOMMENDED list of software.

Shalom,

Insert the DVD in the system DVD drive.

mount the DVD as you have done previously.

Lets say its mounted as /dvdrom/

swinstall -i -s /dvdrom/

You can now browse and interactively install anything on the DVD.
