Cannot access Virtual Machine from network

Hi,
I have installed HP INtegrity Virtual Machine environment. I have installed Windows for Integrity Servers on it. After I start it I assign IP address to the windows machine:

SAC>i 2 10.1.25.40 255.255.255.0 10.1.25.1
SAC successfully set the IP Address, subnet mask, and gateway.
SAC>i
Net: 2, Ip=10.1.25.40 Subnet=255.255.255.0 Gateway=10.1.25.1

but I cannot access it from the network.
Even from inside HPUX I cannot ping this address.

Network section of hpvmstatus:
[Network Interface Details]
Interface Adaptor Name/Num PortNum Bus Dev Ftn Mac Address
========= ========== ========== ======= === === === =================
vswitch lan vswWin 1 0 1 0 66-68-74-6b-d9-c0

Please help me to find out where is the problem.

Thank you.

Re: Cannot access Virtual Machine from network

Did you create a vswitch on a card that had a IP from HPUX. Is the IP for windows on the same subnet as the IP for HPUX. That has always worked for me. I usually set the same subnet mask and gateway as the HPUX system. but I have only created HPUX virtual machines. Suggest creating another VM and assigning it a disk and loading HPUX on it to test VM creation.

Re: Cannot access Virtual Machine from network

Hi Emil,
Yes I have assigned IP of the same class to windows machine as to HPUX system and use the same gateway.
What is the most strange is that from Windows machine I can access every machine, even on the internet. But I cannot access Windows machine from another machine, even from HPUX host system itself. All what I can do is open a new CMD channel from SAC and get to Windows command prompt only.
Is there any additional configuration with the virtual switch that I should apply?

Thank you.
