Cannot connect to 11.31 server

I installed HP_UX 11.31 on a bl860c.

I did not see any problems with the install.

There is nothing in the syslog saying there might be a problem.

I cannot telnet to the blade. It just sits there doing nothing.

Any ideas?

Some first steps:

- connect to the iLO and get the console to check
- ping the server
- try ssh
- do a "local" telnet from the server itself

Is it a "modified" image (e.g. a ignite golden image? maybe telnet is disabled?)

Is it just telnet? Can you ping the servers IP?

The only way I can get to blade is to use the ilo.

If ping dosn't work, you have a problem with the connectivity, not only with telnet.

Check the address settings again.

# lanscan
# ifconfig lan0
etc.

are u telneting from the same subnet where this hpux is?

did u defined the gateway in hpux mac?

is ur gateway pingable? if not, did u updated the nddconf for the dead gateway detection?
