cannot kill rpc.lockd

I have an 11.31 box in which I cannot kill rpc.lockd. It's been orphaned and I have tried sending a number of signals to it. I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas, besides a reboot.

Re: cannot kill rpc.lockd

Hi Court:

If its not responding to a 'kill -9' and you can't kill the parent (maybe it's 'init') then a reboot is all that's left.

Thanks JRF. I knew it would be the only way, but it never hurts to check.
