look at the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log file as well as the /var/adm/syslog/OLDsyslog.log files. Should help looking into errors. Also is it all PTY connections as this maybe a kern parm issue.
Look into the file and let us know. Also you could type dmesg as root for a quick look into the status of the system
