cant open display

From my ignite server gui 'a' I can fun a make_net_recovery on all my systems. On one of my clients, an N4000, I get an error when starting a make_net_recovery from the gui on server 'a'. I get a message :

ERROR: Cant open display for xx.xx.xx.xx

Any ideas?
Window says to issue a `xhost +hostname`.
I tried this but it did not help.

Re: cant open display

Hi Robert:

Did you do:

# export DISPLAY=XX.XX.XX.XX:0.0

...on your workstation's window...

Regards!

Re: cant open display

My ignite server is an K420 running 11.0. I connect to it from my desktop running Win2k. Yes, I set my display variable to allow me to launch the /opt/ignite/bin/ignite gui. I uderstand that. When in the GUI. I right click on system 'a' to start a network recovery backup and I get this error. I can right click on any other icon on the gui and do the same with no problem. Is there some sort of security piece on client 'a' that is stopping this action?

Re: cant open display

ERROR: Cant open display for xx.xx.xx.xx

If xx.xx.xx.xx it the N4000 client system .

Then you should login on the system and then do a
#xhost +

Again try performing the same process
