Thanks in advance!

Re: cat /etc/copyright
HP has a special police force to knock on your door in the middle of the night to drag you off for questioning and torture.
Seriously, its most likely a violation of your License to Use(LTU) and/or support agreement.
I know of no technical issues from this, just legal.

Re: cat /etc/copyright
:-) I'm kidding, of course. I'm asking about legal or license issue.

Re: cat /etc/copyright
Title: SYS ADM: preventing copyright information from displaying after login
Document ID: emr_na-c01013009-1
http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en&docId=emr_na-c01013009-1
well according to above doc, the advice is to comment out the line "cat /etc/copyright" in the /etc/profile.

Robert-Jan

Document ID: emr_na-c00932256-1
http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en&docId=emr_na-c00932256-1
and YES it is a breech, but you are allowed to shorten the message. Check the doc for more info.
