CDE error message!
When some users login to system(CDE),they will got the error like attachment.
I have checked with customer:
1.we test this problem from local CDE.(VGA monitor)
2.Not all the users will encountered this problem, only some special users.
3.OS version:HPUX 11.00
4.Check by "ulimit",it seems OK!
Could you give me some suggestion for further troubleshooting?
Thanks and best regards,
Louis

Re: CDE error message!
But only some special users can face this error, others is still ok.
I have checked the system memory at that time,it seems OK.
Pls see the attachment.

Re: CDE error message!
1. Is it always the same users that have this problem ?
2. Is there something different about those special users ? Like -What tty are they using ? Is there .profile the same ?
If they get logged in....what exactly are they doing ?
3. Do you have your parms set to allow for enough tty connections ?
4. Like Pete said...are you really sure you aren't hitting a memory issue ?
Just a thought,
Rita

Re: CDE error message!
Attached the CDE troubleshooting for your investigation.
refer this:
http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en&docId=emr_na-c00914346-1
Since you say only "special users" unable to login?
1) Are those special users profile, when they login any program will be executed automatically ?
2) What if only 1 special user running, still got the errors ?
3) Are the special user connected CDE via PC (reflextion X)
hope this help.
