CDE file manager very slow
I have already patched my CDE.
I have checked my hosts, resolv.conf and nsswitch.conf files. (They are the same as my other machines that don't have any problems)
What's wrong with my CDE?

We had these types of problems from Exceed when we were using Exceed display was configured to use "PseudoColor" instead of "Auto Select" or "True Color"

Re: CDE file manager very slow
You may want to check if any of the directories in your file manager are NFS mounts. This can drastically slow down even a command-line ll, if NFS is not configured properly. I shudder to think what it would do under a GUI.

Re: CDE file manager very slow
Sorry for late reply.
The filesystems I access are not on an nfs partition. The problem is the same on NFS or on local disk.
I patch with the latest patch for CDE.
Automount is running.
regards.
