CDE under HP-UX 10.20

I try to find the command when I use the icon ExitSession . . .
It's use in /usr/dt/appconfig/types/C/dt.dt with the action ExitSession . . .
I'm looking for this action ? ?
When I close a CDE session I use Exit session ??? and after Xreset . . .
ExitSession close the X server . . .

Are we talking about X connection from Win PC to unix or directly on the unix console.

If this is a windows X connection to Unix, then the X server close option is in the configuration of the X client that you are using. Look into the X client configuration.

Hi,

I am not sure to understand well your problem.
Action ExitSession is used exiting from CDE, and after it reappears the login screen of CDE.

What is your problem? Doesn't this process happen? Or what's going on?

I want to execute a end of A CDE session . . .manually .
I have a core generated when I use Exit button on my desktop CDE.
no error in Xerrors . . .

The ExitSession action is defined in /usr/dt/appconfig/types/C/dt.dt

It sends a ToolTalk request. You could use "dtaction ExitSession" to request the action without pressing the exit button.

as Mike said the right way to do it from command line is

# /usr/dt/bin/dtaction ExitSession

Does it get a core file too?

You may want to check which CDE you have. HP-UX 10.20 started with CDE 1.0 on X11 R5 and I think later went to CDE 2.0 on X11 R6. There were differences so, stating which would get everyone on the same page.
