cdrtools installation problem in c8000 HP-UX B.11.11
./psmake/smake: No such file or directory
can not open 'incs/9000-785-hp-ux-gcc/rules.cnf'. Error exit code 2
Any idea about this? or do I have any another option to get my dvd-writer burning data cds?
Many thanks

Re: cdrtools installation problem in c8000 HP-UX B.11.11
There is more than one version of
cdrtools/cdrecord, and more than one place to
get a kit for it. What, exactly, are you
trying to install? (And you got it from
where?) How, exactly, are you trying to
install it?

Same story.

So, did you try GNU "make"? (That's what I
use.)
I normally work with the latest cdrtools
source kit, from its author:
ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/cdrecord/alpha/
but I normally use it on VMS. I don't
remember the last time I tried it on HP-UX,
but comments in the release notes mention
HP-UX, so I'd assume that it's getting some
testing there.

Re: cdrtools installation problem in c8000 HP-UX B.11.11
You tried to _use_ GNU "make"?
You tried to _build_ GNU "make"?
You may know what you're doing, but I don't.

Does it work? Can you use your GCC to
compile a C program?

Re: cdrtools installation problem in c8000 HP-UX B.11.11
I don't know what you _have_ done. "I have
install gcc4.3.1 [...]" is not a complete
description of what you did or what you did
it with.
A Web search for that error message might
find something helpful.
