Chanching IP-adress
What is the procedure to follow to change a IP-adress of a HP9000 D330 HP UX 10.2 server.
Why do it difficult when it can be done easy

Re: Chanching IP-adress
Probably the easiest way is to use sam
enter sam
- Networking and communications
- Network Interface Cards
Select your lan card
-Actions
-Modify
you can then change ip address
If you just want to use the command line then enter-
#set_parms ip_address
Cheers

Re: Chanching IP-adress
Hi there.
The described procedure is ok, but be sure, that you really want it.
You take the risk, that parts of your installed software will not run anymore.
Reason is, that the licence string for sample is hooked to the ip-address ( OmniBack since version 3 ).
Check this first, before you take any action.
