Re: change boot path query

S.K.,

Other than the fact that our friend Lubomir only replies to people with just one name, who have joined the forum in the last 10 days, and are all from Denmark, Russia, or various former Soviet countries, I can't imagine what you could be thinking of.

Re: change boot path query

Are we going to have to recruit us some points police?

Ask HP to check the IP adress on suspicious posters/pointers?

I hope not.

Re: change boot path query

Hi Pete,

And to think that you and I have been accused of being P.W.s before! ;)

I think I'm going to do an infomercial and sell a book: "How to get a lot of points on the ITRC in a hurry!" ;)

Re: change boot path query

Just wondering what the point is.

I do this because I like to. You can't buy anything with HP forum points can you?

The pun was quite intentional.

The interesting thing about the answers SK pointed out is they were ah, incomplete.

Technically correct, but they assumed a knowledge of the OS that the questioner might not have. Usually helping out a newbie requires a step by step procedure or a document link, or a forum thread.

Re: change boot path query

JP,

After this, I feel like a mere "points flirt".

Pete

P.S. I pointed this out to Dan in the Issues thread. I don't know if anything can be done about it, but it's been noted.

Here's an anomoly;

Looks like a genuine answer - could this be the exception that proves the rule?

Pete,

When I first read your last post I thought you had written 'blond squirrel'. Guess I gotta move up to a larger font. Again.

Re: change boot path query

Just wanted to clarify my intention. I'm not questioning points assignment behavior (we all know that can't be changed) but rather the "questionable" identities of these individuals.

Re: change boot path query

Understood, S.K.

And, by the way, you did well to catch this.

Re: change boot path query

Something does look unusual:
All profiles were added recently beginning around May 20th.
All users asking very basic questions.
All questions are one-liners.
All user profiles are one named individuals.
Points distribution is highly uneven, and slanted toward this individual.

Remarkable coincidence, don't you think, Cheryl?
