Change the 'from' field when sending mail
How is it possible to change the from filed when sending mail?
When sending mail from HP-UX command line with mail/mailx the 'From' filed will be my account and the machine's FQDN.
E.g.: sending mail as testuser on machine xxx.yy.com -> from=testuser@xxx.yy.com
I know the -f switch in sendmail but is a way to change the default value?
Our mail relay only accept mails with proper from address. It makes a lookup in company addressbook.
Thanks any help in advance.

Re: Change the 'from' field when sending mail
I asked that question a while back and got some good answers.
Take a look at this thread:

Please post no points for this, as your direct question has been answered.
I have posted this tips text on many occasions.
It does address your question as well as warn of other options that do not work if you use the -r option.
Best regards,
-d
