changing date on one server in cluster.
Hi
I have two node cluster running on HP-UX 11.11, On my fail-over server, date is not proper.
Can I change the date of that server while my cluster is active? no database or application is running on that server as it is passive node.
Thanks in advance
Paresh

Re: changing date on one server in cluster.
Hi Paresh,
If differs that mutch, I would boot in single user mode, set the date ( date -u mmddhhmmyy ) and reboot again. Just to be on the save side.
Start thinking about setting up ntp. Below are some older questions.

Hope it helps,

Re: changing date on one server in cluster.
It should be ok, as long as you are not changing too much, but if I were you, I would raher do a cmhaltnode on that node, adjust the date, then cmrunnode.
Much safer in the long run.
