Hi,
was wondering, is there any way we can check the ignite tape OS version ? we have to see whether its 11.v1 or 11.v2..
is there anyway we can do it ?

I never came across this question, because my tapes are labeled and I know the contents ...
Anyway, you can "tar" the contents of this tape and search for files that indicate 11.23 or just attemp an interactive boot from this tape - you will see the booting kernel in the beginning already:
example:
$Revision: vmunix: B.11.31_LR FLAVOR=perf

Booting the tape is the easiest way as Torsten mentioned.
BTW,
A great way to say thanks for the time helping is to assign points the responses on your threads. It is easy, just pull down the point scale next to each response, pick a number and then click submit.
You can easily find past threads by clicking on the profile link in the left nav.
(it might even help you get more responses ;)
