Re: Chinese printing!
We are having very old ERP system it is the product of Sage call as CS3/L500 it generates text spool files on the server for making it easy to read and to maintain preprinted stationary we are using DBForms (Version 1) between text file and DBForms definition we have written shell script which executes (printfmt $@ | /utils/nloo1.sh | tee /tmp/testprn.pcl | hpnpf -x $DEV -p). I have attached the printer script for your reference.
The chinese characters are of 2 bytes and english is one bytes. The following is the nloo1.sh script we are using to send pcl commands to the printer.
LC_ALL=zh_CN.hp15CN
export LC_ALL
echo "\033%12345X\033E\033&k2G\c"
cat - | /usr/lbin/nloo -d "\E(9K"
