CIFS-9000 Server on 11i
I have just upgraded my test server and need to test some advanced functionality in CIFS/samba i have found that the Cifs Server is on install disk 2.
I am an experenced user of samba and seting it up, my question is how do i get it off the install disk as it does not recognise it and there appears to be no Depot.
regards
andy

Re: CIFS-9000 Server on 11i
Hi Andy,
I believe that you should just be able to run swinstall and point the source depot path to the CDROM's mountpoint, as long as the CD is in the local machine. From here you should see all the filesets within the CD - including the CIFS bits.
regards,
Darren.

Calm down. It's only ones and zeros...

i have tried putting the path in as "/SD_CDROM/CIFS-Server" but still it doesn't see it.
