CIFS and ACL's
Hello!
We are running CIFS A.01.10 (based on Samba 2.2.8a under HP-UX 11i. When I try to change the access permission through Windows XP->Propeties->Security->Advance it does allow me to enter it, but does not allow me to apply it. Any thoughts?
Regards,
Emil

Re: CIFS and ACL's
To change permissions on a file you must the the owner of the file. Is your samba id mapped to the correct unix id to make you the owner.

Re: CIFS and ACL's
Hi John!
The issue at the moment is that the CIFS Netbios name is KB200, and is part of the domain ECS. A users share shows up as "KB200\ehenry" and not "ECS\ehenry". When one logs into the client as ehenry and domain ECS, one is not able to make any changes, but access is fine.
Regards,
Emil
